Directorship checks

For particular staff categories where individuals have significant influence or make major financial and/or risk decisions, a directorship check is essential to ensure that they do not hold positions which would constitute a conflict of interest or a risk to your business.

All organisations should secure themselves against insider threat, particularly conflicts of interest – there is little more insidious than an employee serving their own ends to the detriment of the business, especially at a senior level.

Directorship checks address this threat, by identifying any previous or current directorships held by the individual, including whether they have been disqualified from holding such a position. Establishing any outside interests of an applicant before hiring will save time, effort and significant cost by ensuring that your employees will always have your organisation’s priorities front and centre.
